These clutches are great as a replacement for the stock clutch, and engage as smooth with stock-like daily drivability, but are much higher quality with very good wear characteristics.
They are also good for high performance street driving, or light drag strip action for bolt on naturally aspirated and mildly modified forced induction engines.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, steel-backed and multi-compound woven organic clutch disc with a high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearings and a tool.
These clutches are great for all mild to moderately modified naturally aspirated and power adder engines, but also good for stock power levels and spirited driving when good daily drivability and extremely long life are the goal.
With the Kevlar disc, these clutches are much stronger than a stock clutch, and virtually as smooth when shifting with stock-like daily drivability and EXCELLENT wear characteristics.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, segmented chatter-free pure Kevlar clutch disc with a high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearings and tool.
Stage Two Plus
These clutches are great for all moderately modified naturally aspirated and power adder engines making more torque than the Stage 2 can support.
The Stage 2+ offers great daily drivability and very good wear characteristics, but provides a higher torque capacity while maintaining Stage 2 feel.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, composite multi-friction carbon-Kevlar clutch disc with a high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearings and tool.
ULTIMATE STREET/STRIP CLUTCH!
Great for extreme street driving and medium to heavy drag strip use on heavily modified street and race engines.
The Stage 3 clutch kit is a great solution for a high powered vehicle and has good wear characteristics under low and high stress usage, while still retaining the ability to shift sharp but with comfortable pedal feel and quick engagement.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, 4 or 6 puck carbon semi-metallic clutch disc with high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearings and tool.
The Stage 3 clutches come standard with a 6 puck disc on most applications, but a 4 puck disc can be specified when ordering.
Stage Three Plus

The perfect option for extreme street driving and heavy drag strip use on heavily modified street and race engines making more torque than the Stage 3 can support.
The Stage 3+ clutch kit offers good daily drivability and better manageability than the Stage 3, with even better wear characteristics, it is the best clutch made by SPEC for high powered street driven vehicles.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, full-faced carbon metallic clutch disc with high torque sprung hub and disc assembly, bearings and tool.
We recommend these clutches for serious drag/road racing purposes since they engage instantaneously and are not comfortable for every day driving.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, 3, 4 or 6 puck carbon semi-metallic rigid 2-piece clutch disc with high torque rigid hub and carrier assembly, bearings and tool.
SPEC's strongest clutch is made specifically for drag racing high powered vehicles or applications that call for a ‘slipper’ clutch/progressive torque-induced engagement.
They feature an unsprung, rigid, iron disc that engages instantly and strongly.
The kit comes with a high clamp pressure plate, iron disc, bearings and tool.
SPEC's Lightweight Option can be added to almost any clutch for an additional $79.
The lightweight version reduces the weight of the pressure plate by about 25%.
This will increase rwhp by decreasing the rotating mass of your driveline,
allowing power to transfer to the wheels more efficiently.
Aluminum Pressure Plate
SPEC manufactures aluminum pressure plates for many applications. These pressure plates are designed for OEM fitment,
but can be used with an array of transmissions and flywheels. The benefit of the aluminum pressure plate is comparable
to gains from a lightweight flywheel, and in most cases is less costly. For years lightweight flywheels have been used to transfer energy
from an engine to the ground more efficiently, resulting in wheel horsepower and torque gains, quicker revving and less internal engine wear.
The SPEC aluminum pressure plates offer the same benefits, and the reduction in mass is more effective since the pressure plate
extends further from the crank flange. These plates can be used with an OEM flywheel or in conjunction with a lightweight flywheel
for a more drastic improvement. Drivability is virtually unchanged, and the aluminum plates offer the same high clamp loads,
and in some cases more clamp load, than the standard steel SPEC high performance pressure plates. SPEC uses only aerospace quality aluminum
and fasteners and most SPEC aluminum pressure plates carry SFI certification.
This option can be added to any clutch kit stage on the following applications: Ford Mustang 10.5 and 11inch, LS1/LS2/LS6 Chevy,
all other V8 Ford and Chevy models, most Chrysler/Dodge/Plymouth V8 models, Mazda Miata 1.6 and 1.8L,
B-Series Honda, Nissan SR20DET RWD, Nissan KA24, Nissan Skyline push type, Nissan Maxima, and Dodge/Mitsubishi 420A.
SPEC flywheels are CNC manufactured at an unheard-of .001 tolerance, in an industry where the standard is .010.
This precision manufacturing process ensures perfect balance and a perfectly flat bedding surface for the clutch disc,
both of which also contribute to the ultimate in safety for competitive environments. All SPEC flywheels carry SFI certification.
SPEC billet steel and billet aluminum flywheels are recommended as replacements for OEM cast steel flywheels in street
high performance and racing applications. Both the steel and aluminum SPEC units are rebuildable and feature a replaceable
steel friction plate that is made from a friction-enhancing steel metal specially formulated for optimum clutch bedding and holding power.
The aluminum and steel materials provide a light and medium weight option for all types of racing. Your engine,
gearing and vehicle weight are factors in determining which flywheel would be best suited for your application.

||SPEC BILLET STEEL Flywheels
SPEC billet steel flywheels are machined from the highest quality materials and exceed SFI safety standards for high rpm racing applications.
They are precision ground to mate perfectly to the crank with minimum run out and provide a true and reliable surface
to mate with the variety of friction materials we offer. They are recommended for heavy vehicles in a drag racing application and
for mildly modified street/strip cars.
||SPEC BILLET ALUMINUM Flywheels
SPEC billet aluminum flywheels are also CNC machined and exceed SFI standards for high stress racing applications.
These units are recommended for highly modified street or racing vehicles, and for mildly modified street cars that
can benefit from reduced rotating mass without the loss of daily drivability. Please email or call for recommendations
on your specific needs. The body of the flywheel is made of tempered aluminums, either 6061 T6 or 2024 T3,
for ultimate strength and lightest possible weight. The 1/4 inch thick friction plate is a 1050 high carbon alloy,
for incredible durability with any friction disc material, even iron. The plates are secured to the body by aerospace fasteners
or stainless steel rivets, depending on the application. These fasteners were chosen because of their exceptional strength
and corrosion resistance. The ring gears are pressed on and secured with grade 10 fasteners. The gear is also heat treated for longevity.
They are effective, durable and almost too pretty to install!
