Aluminum Cylinder Heads for Chevrolets

Small-Block Chevrolet-Street

Performer RPM

Designed for non-emissions 302, 327, 350 and 400 c.i.d. engines up to 1986, these heads made 420 horsepower with the Performer RPM Power Package for small-block Chevys. Available with straight plugs to clear all types of exhaust headers or angled plugs. Performer RPM heads with 64cc combustion chambers improve performance and retain stock compression ratio on 1970 and earlier small-blocks. Hardened pushrods are required, see chart for more specs.

Performer

Designed for 302, 327, 350, and 400 c.i.d. engines up to 1986, these heads have the same powerful design and combustion chambers as the straight plug Performer RPM heads plus an exhaust crossover passage for emissions equipment compatibility. These 50-state street legal (E.O. #D-215-46) heads work with the Performer Power Package and provide outstanding street performance. Performer heads with 64cc combustion chambers improve performance and retain stock compression ratio on 1970 and earlier small-blocks. Hardened pushrods required. When using hot air choke carburetors and Performer manifolds with these heads, choke kit #1932 is required. See chart for more specs.

Performer Centerbolt

50-state street legal (E.O. #D-215-33) aluminum heads for 1987-95 Chevy 5.7L engines (except LT1, LT4 and LT5 Corvettes) originally equipped with centerbolt valve covers and the 1987 and later intake manifold bolt pattern. The high-velocity intake runner is designed to work with either T.B.I. or Tuned Port Injection systems. The 60cc combustion chamber maintains the stock compression ratio when used with the recommended head gasket. They accept stock centerbolt or Edelbrock aluminum valve covers #4246 and #4247. Available with straight plugs only. Hardened pushrods required. See chart for more specs.

Performer Centerbolt For Corvette

The unique intake port design of these Edelbrock aluminum heads greatly increases performance with the Tuned Port Injection systems used in the Corvette. The 60cc combustion chamber maintains stock compression ratio when used with the recommended gasket. 50-state street legal (E.O. #D-215-46), these heads are designed for 1987-91 5.7L Corvettes (except LT1, LT4 and LT5 Corvettes) originally equipped centerbolt valve covers and the early style “straight” manifold bolt pattern. Also fits 1986 Corvette convertibles originally equipped with aluminum heads. Accepts stock centerbolt or Edelbrock valve covers #4246 & #4247. Hardened pushrods required. Available with angled plugs only. See chart for more specs.

Important Notes:

  • When using stock rockers on Performer & Performer RPM heads, .100" longer than stock pushrods are required.
  • Please use Head Bolt Kit #8550 for an easy installation.
  • S/B Chevy heads may not be used on engines with less than 4" bore (262, 265, 283, 305, 307 c.i.d.) except with cams having less than .450" valve lift.

    Edelbrock E-Tec Heads

Engineered to greatly increase performance and efficiency, Edelbrock E-Tec heads fit 302, 327, 350 and 400 c.i.d. small-block Chevys with “Vortec-style” intake manifolds. These heads incorporate Edelbrock’s new high-quench combustion chamber which promotes a more uniform atomization of the air/fuel mixture for more power. Spark plugs have been positioned closer to the center of the cylinder for more efficient combustion. Both versions of the Edelbrock E-Tec heads come with one-piece stainless steel valves that are swirl-polished and have undercut stems for maximum flow. They accept center-bolt or standard valve covers, work with most stock exhaust manifolds and have intake ports that are .200" taller than typical small-block heads. Exhaust port exits are .200" higher than standard heads. For maximum performance, match with an Edelbrock Vortec manifold.

    E-Tec 170

The E-Tec 170 heads feature 170cc Vortec-shaped intake and 70cc exhaust ports. They flow 20% more on the exhaust side than the cast-iron Vortec heads and produce power up to 6000 rpm. The 64cc combustion chamber will result in approximately 9.5:1 compression when used with stock pistons in 350-inch engines. E-Tec 170 heads come with 1.94" intake and 1.55" exhaust valves. 50-state street legal.

    E-Tec 200

Edelbrock E-Tec 200 heads have 200cc rectangular intake ports and 78cc exhaust ports. They outflow the “fast burn” aluminum heads by 10% on the intake and 17% on the exhaust, making power up to 6500 rpm. 64cc combustion chambers produce approximately 10.2:1 compression when used with flat-top pistons in 350-inch engines. E-Tec 200 heads come with 2.02" intake and 1.60" exhaust valves.
